01 / Pricing

Fixed prices, written before work starts. Here is what a build costs.

Every scoped build has one number, agreed in writing, that changes only if the scope changes. No hourly billing, no required Surge license, no forced retainer, and you own what gets built.

02 / Project tiers

Custom systems

Scoped separately

Timeline set after a technical feasibility review

Custom operational platforms, complex agents, multi-location reporting, deep data unification, production voice systems, and applications connected to several proprietary systems. Pricing and timeline are established after a technical feasibility review, and Surge accepts the project only if that review finds a reliable path.

Examples

  • Custom operational platforms
  • Complex AI agents with human controls
  • Multi-location reporting systems
  • Deep data unification
  • Production voice systems
  • Applications connected to several proprietary systems

Terms

  • Requires a technical feasibility review before Surge accepts the project
  • Where specialized development is needed, the technical expertise required is identified and included during scoping, and named in the written scope
  • Surge owns strategy, scoping, client communication, implementation oversight, team adoption, and the business outcome
04

SEO and AI Visibility Sprint

$2,500/mo

Three months, or $7,000 when the full 90-day sprint is paid upfront

A managed 90-day service, not a build: baseline, technical eligibility, Google Business Profile, service and local pages, structured data, citations, one authoritative piece a month, AI-search monitoring, and an end-of-sprint roadmap. Optional monthly continuation after the sprint. Ongoing pricing depends on the continued scope.

03 / Ways to pay

Standard: 50% to begin, 50% at delivery

  • The deposit starts the build
  • The balance is due when the definition of done in the written scope is met and you have approved the system
  • Available on every scoped project

Pay upfront

  • Full project price paid before work starts
  • Lowest total project cost, with no installment markup
  • Scope, timeline, and ownership established in writing before payment

Pay over time

  • Available for qualified projects
  • Slightly higher total project cost than paying upfront
  • Includes an agreed number of support hours during the payment period
  • Exact terms are set out in the written proposal for your project
The pay-over-time option does not carry a published rate, markup, or support-hour allowance, because those depend on the project. They are set out in your written proposal before you sign, never after.
04 / What every build includes

Most builds run on software you already pay for. When a build needs something new, such as a texting number, an automation platform seat, a transcription API, or a voice platform, the expected monthly cost is written into the scope before you sign. Surge does not mark up vendor fees and does not resell software.

  • No hourly billing for scoped builds. You buy a defined outcome at a fixed price.
  • No required monthly Surge license. Nothing you own depends on paying Surge to keep running.
  • No forced maintenance retainer. Support after delivery is optional.
  • You own the completed workflow, the relevant accounts, the documentation, and every transferable asset.
  • Third-party tools may still charge hosting, messaging, API, CRM, or usage fees. Those are disclosed before you sign, and they are paid to the vendor, not to Surge.
  • Every build includes a 30-day window for correcting defects against the written scope.
  • New features or scope changes are quoted separately, in writing, before work starts.
05 / Optional support after delivery

Software built in the summer is wrong by the fall if nobody watches it: vendors change integrations, tokens expire, formats shift. Optional plans exist for owners who would rather Surge carry that. None of them is required, and every one is month to month.

Monitoring

Surge watches the workflow, catches failures before your customers do, repairs what a vendor breaks, and sends a monthly health report.

Optimization

Monitoring plus regular tuning of the messages, rules, and reports as your business changes, with a standing review of the numbers.

Continued build

Optimization plus a monthly allowance of new build work, so the next workflow starts without a new scoping cycle.

Plan pricing depends on the systems in scope and is set out in the proposal. Flat monthly amounts, no hours, cancel any month.

06 / Questions
How do you decide which tier a project is in?

By what has to connect and how many decisions the workflow makes. One tool, one trigger, one outcome is a single automation. Several tools, branching logic, or reporting on top is a multi-tool build. If the roadmap call cannot place it in one of those, it is a custom system and gets a feasibility review first.

Is there a monthly fee after delivery?

Not to Surge, unless you choose an optional support plan. Third-party tools may charge hosting, messaging, API, CRM, or usage fees, and those are estimated in the scope before you sign and paid to the vendor.

What does the 30-day defect window cover?

Anything that does not work the way the written scope says it should. Surge fixes it at no charge. New features and changes to the scope are quoted separately, in writing, before work starts.

Why no hourly billing?

Because you are buying an outcome, and an hourly rate makes the outcome your risk. A fixed price with a written definition of done puts the risk where it belongs.

What if I want to pay over time?

Available for qualified projects at a slightly higher total, with an agreed number of support hours during the payment period. The exact terms are set out in your written proposal; there is no published financing schedule because the terms depend on the project.

Why is the custom tier not priced here?

Because custom systems depend on a technical feasibility review, and publishing a range before the review would be guessing. Where specialized development is required, the technical expertise needed is identified during scoping and named in the scope, and Surge stays accountable for the outcome.

Not sure which tier you are in?

The Roadmap call places each opportunity in a tier and tells you which ones are worth building at all. Then you get a written scope with one number on it.
